Our family comes from Barbados, a small island where naturopathic remedies were never treated like trends. They were part of everyday life. Teas, herbs, minerals, natural compounds & daily rituals — these were the things people used to stay strong, recover, and keep going.
That shaped how we saw the body early.
My sister and I were both pre-med. For most of our lives, we thought we would become doctors. We were drawn to medicine because we wanted to understand performance, health, and the human body at the deepest level.
Then life took us into aviation.
We both became pilots. I became a Gold Seal jet instructor and Airline Transport Pilot, eventually working with one of the largest aviation firms in the country.
Aviation gave us a front-row seat to what high performance actually costs.
Pilots are expected to be sharp, calm, and precise every day.
But behind that standard, we saw the reality—fatigue, constant pressure, disrupted sleep, and a slow decline that most people never talk about.
Our passion for medicine never faded.
It just found a new mission. This would become the birth of V1.
V1 was built from that intersection: Caribbean natural wellness, medical curiosity, and the demands of elite aviation.
A daily performance system for people who cannot afford to show up halfway.
Restoration & Stewardship
Alongside V1, we are actively involved in environmental restoration through our nonprofit initiative.
We have secured over 700 acres of land and are working in coordination with the EPA, with conditional grants awarded to support wetland restoration and long-term ecosystem protection. These efforts are focused on restoring critical habitats and protecting native wildlife.
In parallel, we are collaborating with universities to design natural systems that improve water quality in larger bodies of water, including lakes and surrounding ecosystems.This work is ongoing and built for long-term impact.
